Here is a list of tasks to work on before the big day. These are not necessary to enter kindergarten, but they would be helpful. • Counting and recognizing numbers 0-9 • Counting objects by rows (left to right) • Reciting/recognizing ABC's (no sounds) • Holding pencils/crayons properly • Cutting lines/shapes • Tracing on lines • Coloring with correct colors (face, hair, etc.) • Listening quietly when read to • Understanding these concepts: before, after, between, middle, next, over, under, back, forward (in books) • Understing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. • Zipping, buttoning, and typing • Pumping on a swing • Answering questions clearly and loudly to adults • Walking up and down steps (one foot per step) • Changing clothes • Using the restroom/washing hands properly

Parents are encouraged to use "Pass-a-Notes" through the Sycamore School Website/App. Email is also a recommended method of communication.

Yes, however, there is a limited selection of instruments to rent and purchase. You may purchase instruments from FBS. Prices range from $250-$1,000 based upon the instrument selection and the instrument quality. When you buy new, you will get what you pay for. Some instruments are for rental only, and some instruments are rent-to-own. Rent-to-own instruments will be yours after three years of renting. Renting ranges from $80-$150 per year based on the instrument selection and the instrument quality.
